#TogetherAgainstAbuse Campaign

Following an increase in assaults against emergency workers, and the violent disorders that occurred in summer 2024, the Violence Reduction Alliance (VRA) has worked with local partners to develop a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of frontline worker’s safety in order to protect front-line staff and volunteers.

The #TogetherAgainstAbuse campaign acts as a reminder that frontline workers are people too and that their primary role is to help people and keep them safe. The campaign acknowledges the importance of all frontline workers in helping communities to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives

Frontline workers are vital in keeping us safe which is why the VRA has worked with Staffordshire Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB) to develop the #TogetherAgainstAbuse campaign.

The campaign covers a range of frontline roles including:

  • Police officers
  • Firefighters
  • Paramedics
  • Doctors
  • Call handlers
  • Care staff
  • Social workers
  • Teachers

There are a mix of resources available for you to help raise awareness of and support the campaign.

The resources include a partner pack with key messages and suggested social media posts to use alongside the social media assets. Download and share these resources use across your channels or print and display them to remind people of the campaign message.
