Tackling Health Inequalities | Port Vale FC Foundation
On the 9th April 2025 our Communications Officer Polly headed down to the Port Vale FC Foundation’s ladies only netball group, as they played a friendly against the North Staffs Combined Healthcare Trust, to meet their fabulous group of ladies.
It was instantly clear to see what a wonderful group they are.
They are incredibly passionate about the supportive community they experience at these sessions, and they showed this further in conversation. In their own words, it not only keeps them active and moving, but acts as a space which they know is safe and welcoming for them, where like-minded women of all ages can come together, forget about life’s troubles and support each other.
“When we have a tough time, we don’t take a break from netball, netball is our place to go when we’re having a tough time”
The ladies couldn’t say enough how thankful they are to Gemma and the Port Vale FC Foundation for their dedication and the time takes to understand their needs.
We are delighted to be able to support this project through our Tackling Health Inequalities Grants Programme to stay active, support each other, and have fun!
