Loneliness and Isolation
This week on Stokie Street, John and Katie are talking about the benefits of being social. Most people feel lonely at times, and this can be for many different reasons, but loneliness can have negative impacts on your health and wellbeing, so it’s important to get out and talk.
If you’re feeling isolated, why not have a go at volunteering? It’s a great way to meet new people, get out and about, and learn new skills.
VAST Volunteering can offer lots of advice and help you find the role that’s right for you.
There are also lots of local community hubs which you can find by searching ‘Community Hub’ on the Community Directory below.
