Family Support
This week on Stokie Street Fatima and Zi are discussing some of the challenges of parenthood. It’s normal to feel that things are all ‘a bit too much’ at times, but lots of support is available for families.
There are lots of organisations supporting families across Stoke-on-Trent. These include:
CAFAG – strengthening family life in the local area and the wider community through increasing community involvement, developing the local skills base, providing life opportunities, enabling local access to appropriate services as and when needed and enabling all members of the community to have fun and enjoy their lives.
Fegg Hayes Futures – Fegg Hayes Futures is the charity behind the The Hub @ ST6 in Fegg Hayes, – a resource for all the community, where activities happen that local people want and local people make happen.
Project Indi – supporting vulnerable and disabled adults, children and their families to reach their full potential.
Sudanese Community – an organisation passionate about community integration. Offers lots of support, as well as social events, trips and sports sessions.
ASHA – providing support and promoting social inclusion for asylum seekers and refugees,
Alice Charity – created in 2011 to support vulnerable and disadvantaged families across Stoke- on-Trent and Newcastle-Under-Lyme by providing various services underpinned by unconditional love and kindness.
Thrive at Five – passionate about raising every child to thrive through early years support.
These are just some of the great organisations offering family support across Stoke-on-Trent – find more by searching the Community Directory, and access information on a range of Family Hubs, below.
