Together We’re Better (TWB) the health and care partnership for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent – is currently working on several projects about the future of health services, and are seeking the views of local people on their proposals.
TWB are currently in the process of engaging with patients, the public, staff, and local organisations on the future of urgent and emergency care services, and a set of policies and procedures (a programme of work you may know as ‘Difficult Decisions’). These are procedures which are not freely available, but are provided on a case-by-case basis against specific criteria. Patients must meet the criteria to qualify to receive the treatment.
So far, TWB have hosted surveys and held listening events – where they have delivered presentations and asked for feedback, views and opinions. To build on public feedback gathered since 2019, TWB want to find out more on how they should provide these services across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent in the future.
How you can help
TWB are now working to develop proposals for these services, recruiting service users, staff and seldom-heard groups to join reference groups to help inform this work.
The reference groups will be representative of the local population (as far as reasonably possible).
Please complete this form if you are interested in taking part in one or both of these reference groups.
Selected participants will be invited to attend two virtual meetings in the new year to assist with the next involvement phase.
Reference group members will receive a small fee to thank them for their time. You can find more information on reference groups in the factsheet (below) or the TWB website.
