Long COVID Support Services

People who have COVID-19 usually get better within a few days of weeks. However, for some people symptoms can last longer. If symptoms continue, they may have ‘long COVID’. You can read more about the signs of long Covid here.

People who have had Covid-19 symptoms for less than 4 weeks

People who have had COVID-19 symptoms for less than 4 weeks can access self help resources.

People who have had Covid-19 symptoms for more than 4 weeks

People who have had COVID-19 symptoms for more than 4 weeks should contact their GP who might suggest some further tests or refer you to the long COVID service. This service is only for adults who have been referred by a GP, you cannot self-refer.

The long COVID service brings together a range of specialists, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, GPs, care coordinators and psychology support.

Together they run workshops, community exercise classes, peer support groups and signpost to other services.

Below you can hear from Diana, who received support from the service.
