Posted on behalf of Brian Rich, Senior CBT Therapist and Lead for LTC Pathways, Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent Wellbeing Service:
I am Senior Cognitive Behavioural Therapist within the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and am responsible for developing psychological therapies for people living with long-term physical health conditions, within the South Staffordshire Improving Access to Psychological Therapy Service.
Along with two colleagues, I am undertaking a project to understand people’s experiences of coming to terms with, and adapting their lives to, long-term health conditions.
We are interested in understanding these experiences better so we can develop and improve our services to better support people to respond to these health-related challenges. If you would be interested in taking part, please read the Participant Information Sheet which provides further details about what is involved.
I would like to stress that this project is completely voluntary. If you would like to take part, there is a Consent Form, which I would ask you to sign, date, and return to me on the contact details enclosed in the participant information sheet. This can be returned electronically but if you prefer to send it via post, please contact me and I can send you a stamped, addressed envelope. If you would like any further information before deciding whether to take part, you can contact me on the details provided in the information sheet.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you. Your participation would be greatly appreciated.
Consent forms and any enquiries should be sent to [email protected]
Yours sincerely,
Brian Rich
