Posted on behalf of All the Small Things CIC

We want to hear from YOU, about your community, what you like, and your concerns.

We really want to include disabled people and carers and anyone who prefers to meet online rather than in person.

All the Small Things CIC, together with Community Organisers, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and the 1000 Lives Community Champions Local Organising Group, is listening to people across North Staffordshire as part of a national listening campaign.

The final event is taking place online on 8th April from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.

The information we gather can be used as a source of power to plan and support collective action, locally and nationally.

To get the Zoom link to attend, please email [email protected]

Please also tell us if there is anything else we can do to help you take part. If you have not used Zoom before and want some help, please let us know.

About listening campaigns

A listening campaign is a focused effort to build community and identify concerns and priorities in a specific place, organisation, or community of interest. We do this through ‘one-to-one’ or small group meetings facilitated by community organisers, local leaders, or other facilitators. These meetings – also called ‘listenings’ are face-to-face or online conversations in which people share their own stories.

Listening meetings help people to better understand each other’s perspectives and experiences and gain a shared picture of life in the community.

A listening campaign intends to identify the issues for community members, strengthen the connections between us and find and inspire people to take the lead on action. This often leads to the development of campaigns or projects that arise out of common concerns.
