Free support for adults affected by someone else’s gambling
Around 1 in 11 adults in Great Britain are affected by someone else’s gambling. The impact can include stress and anxiety, arguments, relationship difficulties and financial pressure, yet fewer than 1 in 5 affected others seek support.
Free, confidential support is available.
Adfam, in partnership with Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT), provides free one-to-one support for adults affected by someone else’s gambling.
The service offers six sessions via Zoom or telephone, with an experienced Adfam support worker. It is a chance to talk about what is happening, understand how the gambling is affecting you, and explore practical ways forward.
The service is available to adults living in Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire.
