DadPad® | The Essential Guide for New Dads
Because babies don’t come with a set of instructions…
The DadPad® is a digital app for dads-to-be and dads with new babies in Stoke-on-Trent. It has information about where to find advice, practical parenting skills, services, groups and activities locally. There are also printed booklet versions (general and quick read). The DadPad® has been designed to help you to give your baby the best start in life, to look after yourself and to support your partner.
DadPad® is a free resource for residents of Stoke-on-Trent, to help to provide information specifically for new fathers covering many topics regarding pregnancy, birth and childcare. It is useful for before baby arrives and after baby is born. DadPad® can be accessed via a downloadable app and in a physical book form, in both full and quick read versions. General information for fathers and families is included, on topics such as home safety, first aid, taking care of yourself and your partner following the birth of a new baby.
The DadPad® has also been customised to include information on local Stoke-on-Trent support groups and services, along with links to the Stoke-on-Trent Community Directory which is regularly updated. Professionals are recommended to share copies of the physical DadPad® with families who they believe will benefit from the resource.
