The Staffordshire Sexual Health Charity offer a range of support for LGBTQ+ people, including counselling, drop-ins and support groups.

Counselling

All of their counsellors are members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or equivalent professional organisation, and work within the appropriate ethical framework.

They offer counselling sessions from their main office at the Dudson Centre in Stoke on Trent, and from several other locations in Staffordshire.

If none of these locations are convenient for you, they also offer counselling sessions via telephone and video (Teams).

Drop-ins

If you have a question regarding LGBTQ+ issues, you can drop into their office. A member of the team will be on hand to answer any questions you have or to offer advice.

You don’t have to drop in, you can also contact them for help on via email, phone or any social media channel.

Support Groups

These are social group sessions, but also provide a safe space to talk about any difficulties you might be facing. A number of different groups are held each week, from the Dudson Centre, and the Geek Retreat in Hanley. Please call for more information on days and times.
