Two extra Community Lounges are starting to increase the support available to residents through winter and beyond.
On Thursday 14 December from 12.30pm, the Bentilee Community Lounge will start at Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre on Dawlish Drive.
Residents will be able to bring along their electric blankets and have them checked by our Communities Together team, and if it is deemed not fit for purpose, they will be offered a new one. Please note, this will be done on a case-by-case basis.
Then from Monday 18th December the Community Lounge at Meir Matters, on Sandon Road, will start from 10am.
This is part of the Keep Meir Kozy campaign, where residents will be offered hot water bottles, blankets, and warm garments, again on a case-by-case basis.
Stoke-on-Trent now has 16 community lounges based across the city, offering advice and signposting to relevant services including mental health and wellbeing support, employment and training plus combatting loneliness and isolation.
All Community Lounges are welcoming spaces this winter, with a guaranteed warm welcome, a warm drink plus all the support you need in your local community.
