Through a grants programme we have been able to support local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations to engage in the Community Health Champions project.

Our Grass Roots Grants enable unregistered charities, faith groups and community groups to apply for up to £2,000.  Our Partner Grants are targeted at larger, registered charities and social enterprises and offer up to £5,000.

The grant funding can be used flexibly to build capacity to allow time to engage in the project and to enable innovative ways of working with the organisation’s beneficiaries to help share positive health messaging.

Grant funded organisations register staff and/or volunteers as Champions to engage with the Community Health Champion team at VAST.  Alongside the grant funding, Champions will have access to a wide range of high quality, specialist training bringing skills and added value to their core roles.
