Beat the Cold are a Staffordshire based charity, whose aim is to reduce fuel poverty, and cold related ill health. They have over 20 years’ experience in energy advice and support an are a trusted partner within Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, and surrounding areas. As winter approaches and the cost of living crisis gets even more severe, Beat the Cold is more committed than ever to helping those who live in, or are at risk of fuel poverty, or whose health could be detrimentally affected by a cold home, priding themselves in going the extra mile to support every service user, regardless of the complexity of their situation.
Beat the Cold can assist with:
- Reducing outgoings on fuel
- Behavioural change
- Concerns regarding energy, energy suppliers or energy debt
- Signposting and referral to partner agencies to maximize the outcomes for the individual
- Assisting with management of energy accounts and ensuring they are appropriate for the person’s needs
- Assisting with completion benefit entitlement checks to ensure people are claiming everything they can
- Assisting clients to access emergency payments such as fuel vouchers and foodbank vouchers
