Did you know that The Beth Johnson Foundation have a small community library for local community members over the age of 50+? This is open every Thursday morning, 10-12 noon. At their small library, community members can freely access a range of books, enjoy a warm, quiet space to browse books and resources, meet with others, enjoy free light refreshments, and borrow a range of resources free of charge.

As part of this, a number of events are being held in partnership with the North Midlands LGBT Older People’s Group. The events are supported by the Make it Happen Funding. People with dementia or over the age of 50+ can pop along for poetry classes and meet new people. There are also some storytelling sessions with writer and poet Alan Barrett.
