Engaging Communities Solutions (ECS) are recruiting Community Researchers for the Stoke Citizens Inquiry to explore issues affecting health inequalities across the city, with aim to develop a deeper understanding of health inequalities impacting on local people, identify what is working well and explore what further support and services enhance community health and wellbeing.
What the Role Involves
As a community researcher you will receive training and ongoing support from the ECS research team to work alongside other community researchers to design, deliver and analyse a research project to capture the views and needs of your local community.
Community researchers will…
- Engage with local communities and groups to listen to experiences and views, identifying needs.
- Empower local communities to understand the local needs, prioritise those needs and work with services to find solutions
- Identify themes and compare similarities and differences with other local areas
- Work closely with their communities to present findings, recommendations and solutions
- Deliver the findings and recommendations to decision-makers
