Seeking your views on future engagement in the Integrated Care System

Ruth Shepherd from Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Clinical Commissioning Groups is looking for feedback about the new ‘Integrated Care System’ for Stoke-on-Trent. Maybe you can help?

She writes:

Have you completed our short survey yet?  The survey has been developed to help us to understand what groups we have in place, who they represent and how they could help to shape a future model of engagement for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.  You can access the survey here and it will close on Sunday 4th July 2021 (extended).

We would also like to invite you to attend a Teams meeting on Tuesday 8th June, 3pm – 4.30pm so we can hear your views about how best we can engage with the wider population and keep the voice of patients and the public at the heart of what we do as a system. You can register for this virtual event here.

We rely on your passion for public involvement to help us transform health and care services in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. We want to thank you for the significant contribution you have made so far – it really is valued and appreciated.

We know group members come from all walks of life with diverse views that feed into our work to improve the health and wellbeing of our population. We are now looking to build on this as we progress to an Integrated Care System (ICS).

The core purpose of an ICS is to improve outcomes in population and health care, tackle inequalities in outcomes, experiences, and access, enhance productivity and value for money and to help the NHS to support broader social and economic development. We can only achieve these aims if we listen to our communities, understand the challenges they face and actively involve them in the planning, development, and delivery of services at a system and local level.

We need to find a way that enables us to involve a diverse and representative proportion of the population as an ICS and in the work of our Integrated Care Partnerships in the North, South East and South West. However, we want to build on the partnership working and relationships that already exists.

If you have any questions regarding the survey or event, please let us know by emailing twb.comms@nhs.net
