Hospital Services Survey | Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent

Posted on behalf of Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent

Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent is the independent local champion for health and social care services in Stoke-on-Trent. Part of our role is to understand the experiences of people who are using the services and to give people an opportunity to speak up and have their voices heard.

On this occasion, we are interested in hearing from Stoke-on-Trent residents who have experienced hospital appointment or treatment cancellation or postponement; this was a key area of concern for residents in our priorities survey. The coronavirus pandemic has placed huge strain upon healthcare services, which has resulted in hospital appointments and treatments being delayed and postponed right across the country.

Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent are hoping to understand and share the experience of residents as well as the impact it has had on them. Questions relate to length of delays, what was offered in the meantime or what you would have like to have been offered, and how satisfied you were with how your hospital handled your delay. There is also an opportunity to add any additional comments you may have.
Your feedback is collected anonymously and will be used to create a report that we will share with hospital providers to seek to minimise future impact plus publishing it on our website and sharing with others such as NHS England, Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS Trusts, and Local Authorities etc.
This survey is open to all Stoke-on-Trent residents who have experienced a delay or postponement in a hospital appoint and/or treatment since the start of the pandemic, March 2020.
