Funding and Bid Writing Training

A free VAST training session available to Community Health Champions.

Funding is integral to the operations of charities, CICs, and other voluntary sector groups. Without money, they couldn’t serve their beneficiaries the way they do. But applying for funding? Well, that can be a daunting prospect.

There’s an ocean of funding out there, but how do you know which schemes are the right schemes?

What on earth do you actually write in your applications?

How much do you tell them?

How can you ‘sell’ your organisation to the decision-makers?

What else do you need to send with your application?

Application process, supporting documents, budgets… they all vary from funder to funder and if you’re applying to multiple funders, it can get very confusing.

This session will be focussing on funding and bid writing, providing practical support to get you started and on the right track. We’ll guide you on various aspects of what funders want to see in your application, planning your projects, and demonstrating need, impact, and outcomes.

We’ll also go through application processes, how your application will be assessed, preparing a budget, as well as sharing some of our top tips and highlight the common pitfalls.

VAST has a wealth of knowledge and a century of experience so you can rest assured that you’re getting the training you deserve.

This session will take place at The Dudson Centre.
