KEY MESSAGES for the Do It For What Matters campaign – Together We’re Better, NHS Midlands and Lancashire:

Cases are rising rapidly across the UK. This not helped by reduced restrictions and, of course, the England football team continuing their battle in the Euros.

There are plenty of walk-in vaccine clinics going on around Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, and the vaccine is now being offered to anyone aged 18+. You can find out the latest information about the walk-in clinics on the Together We’re Better website, here.

With all of this going on, its so important that we keep going with the messaging, encouraging people to take the necessary precautions to keep safe and also to get their vaccine as soon as possible.

Key messages

• If you’re aged 18+ you can now book your COVID-19 vaccine
• If you’re watching the football please do so safely. Remember, you can only meet as a group of six inside, or two households
• Restrictions may have eased, but we still need to be careful and follow the rules
• You can meet with up to six people, or as two households, outside and inside – make sure the area your meeting in is well ventilated, this can help reduce transmission of COVID-19
• If you’ve got COVID-19 symptoms, isolate and get a test.
• Make twice-weekly testing part of your routine – you can even do them at home now
• Make sure you register your test results
• COVID-19 vaccines meet strict safety guidelines and offer high levels of protection. You need both doses to get the best protection
• If you’ve had a vaccine, you can still spread the virus to others.
